Cream Cheese Frosting

You will need:
1/2 cup butter, softened
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 tsp. Vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar
To make:
Place butter and cream cheese I'm bowl and beat with a hand or stand mixer until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and beat again until thoroughly combined and smooth. This recipe will make about 3 cups of frosting (enough frosting for a 13 x 9" cake or a dozen cupcakes, or one 8-9" two-layered cake. For a stiffer frosting for piping, you can refrigerate the frosting for about 15 minutes or add additional powdered sugar, a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is achieved.
